Alternate Line (bets)
Alternate Line in betting is an alternative line that the bookmaker offers instead of the main one. The player can choose a different spread, total, or similar market with a value that is either safer or more risky.
How does it work in practice?
The logic is simple: the easier the condition, the lower the odds. The tougher the line, the higher the possible return. For example, instead of a standard -7.5 spread, you can take -5.5 at lower odds or -9.5 at higher odds. Because of that, Alternate Line helps adjust the bet to your own risk level instead of using only the bookmaker’s default option.
