What does Call mean in poker?

In poker, Call means matching a bet. The player does not raise and does not fold, but simply puts in the same amount that the opponent has already wagered.

How does it work?

If one player makes a bet or raise, another player can respond with a call and stay in the hand. In essence, it is the choice to continue playing without increasing the pressure. A call is often used with medium-strength hands, draws, or in spots where the player does not want to build the pot too aggressively yet.
