Ace
Ace in blackjack is the ace card. What makes it special is that it can count as 1 or 11 points. That flexibility is why the ace is one of the most useful cards in the game.
In a real hand, everything depends on the second card. For example, Ace + 7 can count as 8 or 18. That gives the hand more room because the risk of busting is lower. If the total gets too high, the ace simply drops to 1.
The strongest case is Ace + any 10-value card. That makes Blackjack, which is the best starting hand in the game. Because of that, an ace often changes the value of a hand and affects the next decision: hit, double down, or stand.
An ace does not automatically mean a strong hand, but it almost always makes the hand more flexible. That is its main role in blackjack.
