Aces (craps)
Aces in craps is a roll where both dice show 1 and 1. Together, that makes 2.
This result also has another common name: Snake Eyes. Both terms are correct and both are used at the table. When the dealer says Aces, they mean a roll of two ones.
This roll matters most on the come-out roll, where part of the basic action is decided right away. For some bets, 2 is a bad result. For others, it can work in the player’s favor. Everything depends on which side of the table the bet is on.
The main thing is not to confuse the term with aces in card games. In craps, Aces simply means the number 2 rolled on two dice.
