Bankroll
Bankroll is the money a person sets aside in advance for gambling or betting. It is not the full balance on a card or bank account, but the specific amount the player is prepared to use in casino play or sports betting.
How does it work in practice?
The player decides the size of the bankroll first and builds their bets around it. For example, if 100 EUR is set aside for play, that amount becomes the working fund. This makes it easier to control spending, avoid chaotic decisions, and keep bets within a planned range.
In casino and betting, bankroll is considered a basic part of discipline. The same result feels very different when the stake is 2% of the bankroll or half of it. That is why the term matters not only for experienced players. It is useful for anyone who does not want to gamble without limits.
